Michael C. Shepherd, Ph.D.
Summary
Dr. Michael Shepherd is the principal of Shepherd Technical Services. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Baylor University in 1982 at which time he was also initiated into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. Dr. Shepherd completed his graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin in 1986, earning the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry.
Upon completion of his graduate studies, he took a position with Radian Corporation in Austin, Texas. His work with Radian encompassed a variety of environmental and regulatory analytical problems. Dr. Shepherd finished his nearly 14 year tenure with Radian as the Technical Director for the company’s environmental laboratory operation. Prior to establishing Shepherd Technical Services, Dr. Shepherd also held positions as Technical Director for STL-Austin and Quality Control Manager for Cerilliant Corporation. With Shepherd Technical Services, he provides technical consulting services focusing on laboratory quality assurance, laboratory accreditation, and independent data review and validation.
